Forces of Galba in Spain. Anonymous, 3 April-2nd half of June 68. Denarius (Silver, 17 mm, 3.64 g, 5 h), uncertain mint in Spain. Group X. BON EVENT Diademed head of Bonus Eventus to right, wearing braided hair. Rev. ROM RENASC Roma advancing right, holding Victory on globe in her right hand and long eagle-tipped scepter in her left. BMC 10. CG 66.3 (this coin). Cohen 396. Martin 52.8 (this coin). Mazzini, pl. LXIII, 396 (this coin). Nicolas 49 and pl. XII, 49 MZ (this coin). RIC 9. Rare and in exceptional condition. Beautifully toned and struck on excellent metal, a lovely coin of unusually fine style with a splendid pedigree. Light mark on the obverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.
